Nobody chooses Tua over Purdy
Smart ones choose neither at 55M+
People thinking we should pay Purdy that much are crazy. I'll remain in the minority. Just because other teams do dome shyt doesn't mean we have to do the same. Learned nothing from Jimmy.
That Jimmy Garapolo deal did not stop us from making the vast majority of the movies we needed to and we made 2 NFC championships and a super bowl so in actuality the contract was worth it.
What's the alternative plan if we don't pay Purdy?
Dude went as low as 30 ringing out numbers. Brock's floor is 55M imo and that's him giving a "discount" and probably fighting with it about his agent who would be pushing for 60M+.

Agent bought to bring up all of @Bryan Danielson 's posts talking about how elite Purdy is and yall bout to give him that 4 year 61M deal and release him after 2 years to start the rebuild processI'd tell him to kick rocks if he wants a long term deal at that much.
It was still a poor deal that handcuffed us to him. Purdy's will be much more lucrative and more damaging to the team. $55M+ you are going to be saying toodbye to some big time pieces. I only do that for 3-4 QBs in this league.
Make another Hov? We shyt on Kyle, but he's got to a Super Bowl with Jimmy being Jimmy. I'm on the Purdy isn't particularly elite gang. He's good to great in Kyle's system. We'd have leverage in the case of negotiations. I don't think he's going to the Raiders and making them formidable.
