That Jimmy Garapolo deal did not stop us from making the vast majority of the movies we needed to and we made 2 NFC championships and a super bowl so in actuality the contract was worth it.

What's the alternative plan if we don't pay Purdy?

It was still a poor deal that handcuffed us to him. Purdy's will be much more lucrative and more damaging to the team. $55M+ you are going to be saying toodbye to some big time pieces. I only do that for 3-4 QBs in this league.

Make another Hov? We shyt on Kyle, but he's got to a Super Bowl with Jimmy being Jimmy. I'm on the Purdy isn't particularly elite gang. He's good to great in Kyle's system. We'd have leverage in the case of negotiations. I don't think he's going to the Raiders and making them formidable.

Purdy isn't elite but he is a borderline top 10 QB. We haven't done him any favors by neglecting the offensive line the way we have.
