Its been nearly 8 years, so I can understand you misremembering it. The Falcons last td was in the 2nd half. It was to Tevin Coleman in the flat. The pick 6 occured in the 2nd qtr. That was their 21st point. The last td to Coleman, made it 28-3.

Nah, Patriots had 546 yards of total offense vs. that Falcons defense. That is a putrid defensive effort in any game, never mind a Super Bowl.

An offense can only comeback.if the opposing offense, stops scoring. Did New England recover any onside kicks? No they did not. Shanny not choosing to run the ball 3 times and kick the Fzg after the incredible Julio catch, is one of the biggest coaching blunders of all time. No way NE is supposed to get that ball back with a chance to tie. Nothing "lame" about it. He mismanaged the situation. Just like he mismanaged SB54 and SB58.

Lets compound that idiotic decision, by passing again and getting a holding call. He threw the ball three straight times, when kneeling on the ball, three straight times, wouldve been the better option!! Inexcusable!! That was on the offense for not putting the game away.

Understood. My point is this, they shouldve never been in that position. It shouldve been 31-20 wih about 3 mins to go. There shouldve never been any OT, or the drive before to tie the game.
