It’s funny how people mention that but ignore the defense gave Kyle’s offense cushion with a pick six meaning his offense only scored in the first half and put up no points in the second half.

Its been nearly 8 years, so I can understand you misremembering it. The Falcons last td was in the 2nd half. It was to Tevin Coleman in the flat. The pick 6 occured in the 2nd qtr. That was their 21st point. The last td to Coleman, made it 28-3.It’s funny how people mention that but ignore the defense gave Kyle’s offense cushion with a pick six meaning his offense only scored in the first half and put up no points in the second half.
An offense can only comeback.if the opposing offense, stops scoring. Did New England recover any onside kicks? No they did not. Shanny not choosing to run the ball 3 times and kick the Fzg after the incredible Julio catch, is one of the biggest coaching blunders of all time. No way NE is supposed to get that ball back with a chance to tie. Nothing "lame" about it. He mismanaged the situation. Just like he mismanaged SB54 and SB58.Nah, Patriots had 546 yards of total offense vs. that Falcons defense. That is a putrid defensive effort in any game, never mind a Super Bowl.
Blaming Shanny for that was always lame. They tried to make him a scapegoat.

546 yards
And 170 happened after ATL shouldve had the wrapped up. There shouldve never been an overtime. Julio Jones make miracolous catch to the three yard line. Lets pass and get a sack. Lets compound that idiotic decision, by passing again and getting a holding call. He threw the ball three straight times, when kneeling on the ball, three straight times, wouldve been the better option!! Inexcusable!! That was on the offense for not putting the game away.546 yards

Understood. My point is this, they shouldve never been in that position. It shouldve been 31-20 wih about 3 mins to go. There shouldve never been any OT, or the drive before to tie the game.Breh not only was it 546 yards, they let them march right down the field to end it and that was after an already abysmal performance, they doubled down on that and gave it right up, no resistance
I love Shanny and hope he’s here for years and years but also gotta be real lol. Three super bowls lost because of his ego. I’m praying three is the magic number and he finally learns from his mistake if we get back.An offense can only comeback.if the opposing offense, stops scoring.
