Donny Brasco is a better movie than Goodfellas

Brasco is underrated. Pacing kills it and is his last great role. It's not seeing Goodfellas, that's shyt is classic all the way through but Brasco is 3rd best 90s gangster flick behind Casino and of course Goodfellas.

Pacino is amazing in Brasco tho.

The direction and scenes and music in Goodfellas revolutionized movie making. Pepsi and Daniel were untouchable and everyone else were great ass ons..The Billy Batts scene and the DeNiro smoking double look scene is two of the greatest scenes ever done in film.

Casino is excellent but Goodfellas was Scorsese at his best with the long cuts, tracking steadi cam, etc.. it was legendary piece of film making. Casino borrows from that.

Goodfellas has two all time top ten movie scenes. I can’t put DB ahead of that.

People slandering Ray liota in GF have no idea what they are talking about.

Don’t let the fact that he has made some shytty movies since then deter from the fact that he was the perfect Henry.

It’s his best role.

Scorcese storytelling and direction alone put GF ahead. He fathered a whole Narrative style that many have tried to duplicate but only he can do great (Casino being another example)

Deep and Pacino were great but after them the movie style and storytelling are dry and limited.
