Classic scene
I think the interaction between Depp and Pacino was amazing. I think Paulie wasnt played that well in Goodfellas by Sorvino , while Sonny Black was done perfectly by Madsen. Im not a big Ray Liotta fan.
However, De Niro in Goodfellas was one of the best acts ever, and Joe Pesci was killing it. Also the storyline was much bigger and still top notch while DB was working from a smaller angle.
Both classic movies.
Sorvino was great as Paulie. There was enough warmth and menace in what he did, which isn't easy to do. And while Ray isn't always great, he's definitely great in that movie. Scorsese's direction also counts for a lot of Goodfellas' greatness and it's hard to top in any flick.
Classic scene
I know Im talking about one of the best movies ever, so its not like im bashing it. Both are in my top 10. The Im a clown scene, was great by pesci..not so great by Ray.
Joe Pesci made Goodfellas a classic. No Joe in Donnie Brasco.
True but you're saying Donnie is better, so I'm saying I gotta be sold on it because you just said Goodfellas is one of the best movies ever. Donnie is dope to me but not one of the best ever so I'm trying to understand where you're coming from. open to the argument
