I think the interaction between Depp and Pacino was amazing. I think Paulie wasnt played that well in Goodfellas by Sorvino , while Sonny Black was done perfectly by Madsen. Im not a big Ray Liotta fan.

However, De Niro in Goodfellas was one of the best acts ever, and Joe Pesci was killing it. Also the storyline was much bigger and still top notch while DB was working from a smaller angle.

Both classic movies.

Sorvino was great as Paulie. There was enough warmth and menace in what he did, which isn't easy to do. And while Ray isn't always great, he's definitely great in that movie. Scorsese's direction also counts for a lot of Goodfellas' greatness and it's hard to top in any flick.

I know Im talking about one of the best movies ever, so its not like im bashing it. Both are in my top 10. The Im a clown scene, was great by pesci..not so great by Ray.

Goodfellas was a classic based on De Niro alone. He really killed that one.

Pacino was a beast in Donny Brasco.

Pesci in Goodfellas and Casino...was just the extra cake on it. I dont know if Pesci could own it alone like De Niro and Pacino could

The acting of Pacino in this scene...and during the whole movie....It was another level to me..Agree to disagree. The way he talks, walks, acts, everything.

I think Goodfellas is the better movie. But this debate is much closer than people think. Depp and Pacino killed it in Donnie Brasco. I'll take Heat over Goodfellas and Donnie Brasco though
