It’s embarrassing. As awful as James Dolan is with the Knicks, I’d almost prefer a team owner who can’t keep his hands off and keeps fukking things up as opposed to one who just collects the checks and seems to not care about results. I got a friend who threw the bulls in the bushes for this reason. A culture of nepotism and being content with a massive profit regardless of performance while the owner publicly states he cares more about avoiding the tax than hosting a championship parade at the end of the season. Makes it hard to stay invested when the same fundamental problems are left ignored year after year, not to mention our executives being complete scumbags for how they treated Girardi and A-Rod. Let’s not forget these are the same guys who knowingly sent him out there hurt in the playoffs in hopes that he’d injure himself bad enough that he’d retire so they wouldn’t have to pay him the money they owed him.

Facts. The more I think about it, I’m actually mad that we beat them so easily or even that we beat them at all. Since 2004 with 2009 being the obvious exception, Baltimore in 2012 and Cleveland in 2017 are the only teams we’ve beaten in a playoff series besides Minnesota. That sort of postseason ineptitude over a near 20 year span when a team has the expectations that this one does should force an organization to look at itself, examine its flaws, and find a way to fix them. The twins existing at all let them skate. It’s like how the ravens are gifted 2 wins a year by virtue of sharing their division with the browns so they get a lot closer to the playoffs than they have any business being so their coaching staff and front office think all is well and good.
