True but that's not the point. The Yankees also lost the 2010 & 2012 ALCS's to the Rangers & Tigers.

The Yankees still won a WS under Obama in 2009 (his first year). The Yankees have lost 2 ALCS's under Trump both to the Astros.

If there are exceptions, then it can't really be a thing.

The point is that the Yankees can't seem to win a title under a GOP President and that still remains a thing. It's been 61 years since the last time they won a WS under a Republican president. That's actually an extraordinary coincidence considering that from 1969 until 1993, there was only 1 Democratic president during that time (Jimmy Carter), he only served 1 term and the Yankees only WS titles during that time came under him ('77 & '78).


Also, the Yankees historically have performed way better under Democratic presidents than Republican ones. 20 of the 27 WS titles the Yankees have won have come under Democratic presidents.


They've won almost 3x the amount of WS titles under Democratic presidents than GOP ones and in 3 less seasons too.
