Are people really mad that Yanks were not scoring off Cole? The #1 or #2 pitcher in the league

I for one was annoyed with their approach.

They only seemed to get things going offensively with 2 outs.

These guys were overly aggressive with no outs and it didn't pay off.

With 2 outs they became more patient and it paid off as they were getting runners on base only to not do anything because they wanted to play hero ball.

I know that narrative right now is pitching but Yanks had plenty of chances to score.
After they fukked up the first inning they lost the game.

They had plenty of chances after the first inning as well. Astros were terrible with runners in scoring position as well. Game could have been much worse if we're going to play the what if game.

They’re a 3 man show right now. Like I said earlier, if DJ, Judge, or Torres are off, they’re lucky to score at all. Gio is hitting .200 this series. Gardner is hitting .154. Didi, Gary, and EE are all below .100 and Hicks doesn’t have a hit this series. Aside from Torres, they have I think just 2 extra bass hits (Judge’s game 2 homer and EE’s double tonight). None of this is on the pitching. The offense has scored 3 runs in the last 20 innings they’ve played.

Pitching sans Ottavino has held up really well. Offense has too many holes to fill at this point. Bat Gleyber third and pray that someone outside of the 1st 3 batters gives you something. Next two are must-win but it’s not like we’ve been getting killed, just can’t get the big hit

There is really no reason to have Gardner and EE in those prime slots, Judge wasn’t going to get pitches to hit in a big situation.

If Stanton can’t go then he needs to be replaced with a Hail Mary in Voit.

I personally would keep him glued to his seat for the rest of this series unless it's during a blowout but bringing in the likes of Loaisiga and Cessa as his replacements doesn't inspire much confidence either. German really fukked this team with his bullshyt.

I’m on board with this too. If Stanton isn’t ready by Thursday then fukk it, we can’t afford to wait any longer for him to be able to run to 1st. Maybin deserves a chance to play over Gardner as well.
