Just finished it on Sony Crackle for the free :blessed: been wanting to watch this joint since it came out. If I remember right only one theater was playing it down here.

It was alright :ld: didn't hate it but didn't love it either. Don Cheadle did a better job playing him than I expected. I've always felt Lance Reddikk should've played Miles. Breh is like a spitting image of him

Heard they are doing another movie about his whole life starring Michael K. Williams. But the person who told me this might be hoping it happens instead of it being a certainty.

Im liking it as a movie...

but I don't feel like Im learning anything about Miles Davis, which is a HUGE drawback for the film.

I felt the same til I really peeped what was going on. Miles himself wouldn't come at you straight up, so neither did the film makers. It's an art piece, not an informational piece where you learn about Miles Davis. It's an attempt at making Jazz, something that is abstract/free flowing and unique compared to other genres of music in the film format. At some point I stopped tripping about it not being a great "biopic" and relaxed into the Jazz being created.

I think it's a great film, now I want to watch it again.
