Just finished it.
It was pretty good imo. It wasn't a full fledge biopic but I don't really think that's what it was trying to be.
Don Cheadle killed the role and even tho Ewan McGregor's character was shoehorned in, he was pretty good and didn't take anything away from the movie.

Movie was dope, Cheadle killed it along with homie that played Snoop in SoC
I enjoyed the style of this movie...to a point. The fictional narrative abut the missing tape eventually overwhelmed the personal aspects of the story, to the film's detriment.
The almost improvisational style of the shooting/editing worked quite well for as movie about a jazz icon.
