To your first point, I think they should have went after Lowry and possible Derozan instead of Russ.
That would have been the better move.

Buddy was going for Kuzma and KCP only. Would have kept our pick, etc. Buddy is just a better fit even if he struggles to shoot. Russ has been one of the worst players in playoffs the past few years, theres just no denying that. Even if he picks it up like he does in middle of year, why do we have so much faith in him in playoffs?
I guess this is the main reason but I am just looking from a all healthy team perspective and on that roster, he just isn't a good fit. The best trade would have been Lowry last deadline, would have solved so many problems at once since we let go of Dennis for nothing either.
If AD was a shooter like KAT, I would have more faith but AD is a very inconsistent/mediocre shooter overall and then on top of that he still doesn't want to play the 5.

Yea its really looking like (with Kyrie's injury and then shutting it down this season) not moving THT for Lowry cost the Lakers last year and this year from being the favorite.
Hopefully Russ figures it out.
shyt by midseason the Kings might still move Hield for not much.

Because I've NEVER seen Hield do anything in the playoffs. (again with hindsight) why give up 2 younger defenders for a guy like that
If we're keeping it hindsight I'd rather have KCP and Kuz. Yes they could be trash brothers but we know they'd at least defend. Russ really was only trash as the main guy after triple double hunting all season. That shouldnt be the case this year. He and the team just gotta figure out an effective role for him. Part of that is on Vogel in how he staggers these mins. Bron should be coming out of the game 1st not Russ. You dont want to wind up with him and Rondo on the floor. Its jus WOAT management

hard to be a positive player if you can’t shoot from anywhere. In all honesty I am worried more about our defense, I think moves will be made later on

Thats a terrible reason.
I get keeping the ball in Bron's hands cause there's a chance he could get Russ the ball at the right times. Rondo DOESNT TRUST RUSS. And that much is clear. He passed up several chances to get him the ball.
Im starting to think Jason Kidd was a bigger loss than I thought before. Cause Im not sure he'd let Vogel trot out this fukkery. shyt should be simple
Bron/Russ = Share ball handling duties
Rondo/Bron = Bron plays off the ball
Russ/AD = Let Russ run pick and roll and push the pace (Bron sits)
Rondo/Russ = Should never happen

Very winnable game but got out hustled, out rebounded and got out played by their bench and killed us in the paint. Got way too comfortable in the 4th. A lot of room for improvement
