Cheapskate Jeanie didn't wanna come up off them coins even though Bron wanted Lue smh
:martin:

That's why more and more I gotta wonder how much we blame Bron for wanting Russ. Because Jeanie didn't give Caruso the money even tho I'm sure Bron wanted to keep him. She's proven she's comfortable telling him no if she needs to keep more pocketchange to sugar mama Jay Mohr.

EDIT: To be clear, Bron takes some blame but people gotta stop acting like anyone else who has a say didn't agree with it too.

Who knows? There could be an element of Buss kids fukkery going on here. Mind you, Jeanie only started moving with some semblance of sense after Kobe told her the real. I wonder how different things might be if he were still alive cuz he clearly had Jeanie’s ear.

As for Vogel, while I hate his WOATgel moments I don’t know if this is a good move especially with no real replacement. Fiz isn’t a fix to the problem, the problem is the roster. If they can make small but smart moves they can still somewhat salvage things. The number one concern is the defense imo, I think even with their boneheaded moments the team can solve the offensive issue.

@Regular_P is so right, if you just add Monk, Reaves, and Stanley to last years team we’re much improved. I know hindsight is 20/20, but we should’ve either kept Marc or went after a real McGee replacement instead of washedre now we’ve got a roster spot wasted.

But as bad as things have been, I’d rather stick it out with Frank for the rest of the year and at least try to get some defensive guys to give him and the team a chance. It sucks that we down so bad because it’s a down year in the West in general. The goal, if possible, should be to make the Lakers the scariest lower seed it can possibly be.

Here’s the deal Laker brehs, Bron going for his numbers is bad for y’all and great for Bron stans. A balance attack where everyone gets involved in the offense and great defensive effort seems to work best.

what kinda nonsense is this...

the team literally can't even muster up 4 points if he goes on the bench

The problem with that argument is when the rest of the offense isn’t doing shyt (which is often) then Bron is the only consistent scoring threat we have. It’s the same dilemma we had with Kobe at times. His teammates don’t provide enough balance with their own activity so the superstar has to overcompensate. So when they do show up, there’s no semblance of trust or rhythm to make the superstar back off a bit because at any point that scoring from the role players might dry up again. Bron can’t back off until the rest of the team can put together some offense beyond his output.

That’s why the design of the team when we were winning made sense. We need to be elite defensively and leave the offense to a few guys that are proven firepower.

If the FO had a huge say so in making the Westbrook trade and signing DJ/Rondo...why is Vogel on the hot seat?.... Shouldn't Pelinka/Rambis be on the hot seat?

* Lebron missed 12 out of the first 23 games
* AD has missed 15 consecutive games
* Then covid hit the team around the same time AD got hurt...Sure, other teams have had players in/out of the lineup, but LA had a huge turnover during the offseason. So there was no continuity from last season (Gasol, Caruso, Kuzma, KCP, Harrell, Shroader....and Drummond if you want to include him)

* That's 6 rotation players and 3 starters.
* 5 of those players could play defense
* 5 were high energy players
* 4 of the 6 could get you double-digit pts

* Prior to AD going down the Lakers had won 3 consecutive and 6 of 8 gms.

IMO, LA has made Vogel's job more difficult by bringing in players who didn't fit the roster or are just washed up (Drummond, Westbrook, Jordan, Ariza, Rondo)...These aren't Vogel moves, these are Pelinka/Jeannie/Rambis/Lebron/AD moves.....What was Vogel to do last season when LA signed Drummond?... Not play him?... That would've cost him his job and he would've been used as the scapegoat.

Vogel should be the coach until the end of the season...He's earned that much by winning a championship.

This is a good point, they just seem more engaged on defense when everyone is being productive on offense and I get it that they have to play a certain way just to survive. I just think Bron in playoff mode is not sustainable

They shouldn't have broken the championship team...
In 2020/21
And this year...should have kept Russo and go after DeRozan...I don't know if I said it on here.. but I was pro DeRozan signing...

It's a case of trying to get better gone horribly wrong...

I still don't get getting all these old players...

But..

A LBJ(pg)-westbrook,monk-stanley-AD lineup should be a championship caliber line up... So long AD is at least 80%

same...goofy ass nikkas on here was giving me all kinds of grief throughout the years when I would put that out there. Now he's a legit MVP candidate this year. SMH.

Derozan instead of Westbrick. Then:
Malik - Yes
DJ -:camby:
Melo - Yes
Ariza -:camby:
Caruso - Stay
German bytch - Stay gone :camby:
