Basically the season has been saved by finding cheap young defenders to replace the outgoing guys. And even the shytty version of AD we got should at least help the defense. Another wing defender/scorer or stretch big that can defend would be nice but what can you do.

Lowkey this shyt doesnt look good at all. The "best" version of the Lakers is having younger legs who play defense.

Our best version is playing last year/2020 ball with a healthy AD. As much shyt as we gave them Kuz/KCP/Caruso were way more consistent and could play defense. :mjcry:

Russ is just (non playoff)Rondo on roids :mjcry:
So basically what myself and quite a few others have been saying. :smugbiden:

Now imagine if they just added Monk, Reaves and now Stanley Johnson to last year's squad. :mjcry:

This game gave me a little hope because Vogel reduced Westbrook's role and the team played better. If they could get this bozo to buy into being the sixth man, I'd feel pretty good. As much as I can't stand him, I do think he'd have real value playing against other bench units. Him and THT could be a nice combo together plus Reaves.

Right now, I think I'd like to see the starting unit be LeBron, Bradley, Monk, Dwight and Johnson with Russ, THT, Reaves and Ariza off the bench.

I agree with everything but Ariza is fukking cooked.

I agree but they need one more body. It'd be Nunn but I don't think he's playing this season (maybe ever? What the fukk is really going on with him?).

I guess Dwight would be enough but the small lineups have worked off the bench.

I fell asleep in the second half :pachaha: But glad to see we got the W

Saw Stanley Johnson trending. I'll watch the highlights but I assume he had a great game

Small ball lineup did well in the 4th right? Not surprised. The other Jazz players don't play particularly great defense if you can get Gobert out of the paint

I didn’t expect this to be this early, I don’t see Fizdale doing better who will most likely replace him

There were too many rumors coming from Lakers insiders about his job security earlier in the year which is why I knew this was the case

I do hope they have someone better than Fiz in mind to replace Frankie V

Don’t see them hiring a new guy in middle of season. Fizdale seems like the obvious choice for rest of the year if this does happen.

not a fan of FO scapegoating Vogel for their mistakes but they never gave him respect from the beginning

Mid-season firing would be a disaster. Fizdale lost some very winnable games with his tactics/rotations and he's the likely successor. Just play out the season and evaluate your options during the off-season.
