That's why more and more I gotta wonder how much we blame Bron for wanting Russ. Because Jeanie didn't give Caruso the money even tho I'm sure Bron wanted to keep him. She's proven she's comfortable telling him no if she needs to keep more pocketchange to sugar mama Jay Mohr.
EDIT: To be clear, Bron takes some blame but people gotta stop acting like anyone else who has a say didn't agree with it too.

Look at the Lakers history. They like stars. They want the big names. I could definitely see Jeannie sayin let’s get Russ he’s exciting and loves the Lakers. She played Caruso on some cheap shyt. And I’m telling you dudes that Kurt Rambis is in the front office and he wants to swing his nuts around the place. His wife is best friends with Jeanie. He is also close friends with Phil so all of them are very close
Word. I mean more from a beyond the court creditials standpoint. White guys who were in the league usually don't seem to have much time finding office gigs wherever they wanna go but he's this guy who was an assistant coach on the Knicks and during a time when no one wanted the head coaching job except him, they STILL didn't want him. So I always figured his basketball acumen was never all that great.
A mid season firing would be terrible. Vogel has bad rotations at times but he can't do anything about younger defenders being traded away and AD/Bron getting injured. There ain't no one of better quality available. And frankly Vogel isn't a bad coach.
