:mjlol: First off, we haven't even heard a whisper about the Lakers being interested in Lowry. He was never on their radar. Miami is a great fit for him-- he's not carrying a heavy offensive load for any team. He scoring half as many points as Russ this season on far worse shooting.

Last year at the trade deadline it was reported that Lakers could have had him, but didn't want to come up off of THT

Also, I'd bet heavy money that they wouldn't lose to OKC. lmao

Russ was a +6 tonight. AD -14, Rondo -7, and Bazemore -12 I believe. He sat down three different teams with a lead and came back to either a tie or close game.

They’ll be fine. Just gotta make sure Bron is healthy in April and May. Vogel may eventually have to bench Russ in playoff game moments though.

We lost because of Vogel, no one else. If a team always loses the same way, ends quarters the same way and he still doesn’t adjust then it’s on who?

I like Vogel but the heat is officially on unfortunately.

Inexcusable that Rondo was played and unfathomable that he kept persisting even after countless fukkups which lead to timeouts...but Rondo kept coming back in. Dwight played so well in the 2nd quarter, was big on the lead being 19 (same as the big 2nd qtr in first OKC game that Dwight helped build it to) and yet he still persisted with DJ. At the very least, I mean very very very least, he should have kept the typical C rotation for the 4th...start Dwight and bring AD in later. But AD started the 4th gassed and made mistakes.

Russ? This is who he is. Bron gets the ball late games. He wasn't there so this is the bad that you're going to get with Russ at times.

The eyes show it, the stats show it, the analytics show it. Rondo and DJ should not play under ANY circumstances except blowouts.

But DJ is going to play as long as he's on the roster because AD and Bron wanted him there. Did you learn nothing from the Drummond experience last season? :dwillhuh:

Rondo is getting tick because they don't have any PGs besides Westbrook. Do you want Bazemore, Monk or Bradley initiating the offense? They don't have any shot creators with Bron and THT out.

The Lakers are kinda fukked by bringing in Russ. Even if he was to opt out after the season and leave, they won't have the cap space to bring anyone in and replace him. You're also going to be hard pressed to move him at the trade deadline as they don't control their own first round pick until 2025 nor have the assets to pair and move him.

Their best bet is him opting in to the last year of that deal and them having cap space the year after.

Idk how Bron, with all his court vision and BBIQ signed off on this Russ trade.

Aside from the obviously terrible fit, this move has completely hamstrung the Lakers. They have no trade flexibility, no assets, and no cap space. Barring something miraculous, it might be a wrap for Bron's title aspirations.

Russ going to get booed at Staples center, Lebron requests a trade, Russ gets dumped by the Lakers using the rest of their assets - something crazy is going to happen before this season ends.
100% the worst trade I have ever seen because staying put or letting the buddy trade is infinitely better.
You also correct. This is heading for fiery end.
