Russ is actually starting the season slightly better than he normally does. I would lower my expectations.. his play will likely improve in the regular season but we have enough of a sample size to predict how he will perform in the playoffs. Five straight years of sub 50 TS%.. That's five years of being the most inefficient high volume player in the league. His weaknesses are too easily exploited and good teams are going to be salivating to take advantage of them. We saw the Lakers turn the 2020 series against the Rockets around when they doubled Harden with Russ' man.
