Luke was what he wanted?

Bron passed up contenders to go to a non playoff team. He signed up cause he wanted to be a Laker/in LA.

Phil made the call on Vogel (Kudos to Phil cause outside of Lue I still think Frank was a good hire)

Bron deserves blame for Russ. However, even Magic was on board with getting AD. Once they missed out on Paul George they pivoted to being all in trading assets for a 2nd star.

Yeah Luke was what he wanted. You act like Magic went to Brons house to tell him what to do. Everything that happened with the 2019 team Bron signed off on before he signed with us.

Cause Kobe had Phil Jackson (literally one of the greatest coaches ever) for the majority of his career. Vogel has lasted longer with Bron than any Kobe coach not named Phil and Kobe's overall coach turnover rate was worse than Bron's outside of the GOAT coach.

Under Kobe:

Del Harris: 2+ seasons
Kurt Rambis: 1/2 season
Rudy Tomjanovich: 1/2 season
Frank Hamblen: 1/2 season
Mike Brown: 1 season
Mike D'Antoni: 2 seasons
Byron Scott: 2 seasons

Under Bron:

Luke Walton: 1 season
Frank Vogel: 3 seasons

You thought you had something there. :mjlol:
Yeah Kobe brought Phil Jackson back in 05 even after Phil wrote a negative book about him….showing the importance kobe put on coaches unlike Bron who just wants puppets

yoy thought you had something there….dumbass.

Put in Rudy ignoring he had to step away for health reasons, and Hamblin finished out the year for him :deadmanny:

Meanwhile Spo and Lue looking top 5 and Bron tried to run both of them out :lolbron:

Look at how quick that goalpost shifted, a moment ago you said Kobe had no say in the coaches at 35 and how you're giving him credit for getting Phil and making front office decisions at 25. :mjlol:

Reality is that Lakers made the move on their own despite Kobe not being a fan and he accepted it.

Jackson's biggest hurdle? Kobe's ego
The Lakers have already made a correction of sorts, by rehiring Phil Jackson. It's interesting that they've brought back Jackson at the very moment that teamwork, as exemplified by the Spurs and Pistons, is the new competitive chic. Jackson's return is a major repudiation of Bryant, and his too-large role with the Lakers.

Let's say that you cussed your boss, threw a basketball at his feet, and tried to get him fired. And it worked: He was pushed out. Only, a year later, he's been rehired and is the boss again. I'm thinking that Bryant has lost his leverage. I'm thinking the Lakers will be doing things Jackson's way from now on. I'm thinking the Lakers aren't paying Jackson a reported $30 million to $35 million over three years to undermine his authority again.

Lakers rehire Jackson
Bryant's reaction to a possible return by Jackson seemed lukewarm at best during the past several months. But Bryant released a more positive statement through his agent Tuesday.

"When the Lakers began the search for a new head coach, I put my complete trust in Dr. Buss and Mitch Kupchak to select the person they thought was best for the Lakers' organization," Bryant said. "In Phil Jackson, they chose a proven winner. That is something I support."

Jeanie Buss got Phil back to L.A., not Kobe, Kobe just had to be a good soldier and accept it cause he was signed through 2010 and the team was in the gutter. :mjlol:

So first you were proven wrong on your claim coaches had less turnover in Kobe's years, now you were proven wrong on your claim that Kobe is the one who brought Phil back. He accepted that shyt cause he had to, he didn't do that shyt.

You wanted me to write an essay about each coach's tenure? It was a list of Kobe's coaches. :comeon:

Meanwhile Spo and Lue looking top 5 and Bron tried to run both of them out :lolbron:

He didn't run either of those guys out, or Mike Brown. :gucci:

Meanwhile Kobe really DID run Phil Jackson out who is a top-3 coach of all time. :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

unlike Bron who just wants puppets

Love how y'all simultaneously trying to claim that Bron wanted Pat Riley to replace Spolstra yet also wanna claim he wants "puppets".
