James Bond is his name not a code name. Skyfall put that theory to rest

I hate that they did that, I remember someone putting out there a idea for a movie of all of the previous actors to play James Bond that are still alive (Connery, Dalton, Brosman, Lazenby) to team up and turn against M16 and the current Bond (Craig) has to go and stop them on some Bond vs Bonds type steez... but Skyfall revealing his name is actually Bond ruins that but it also makes me question why Bond be telling everyone his name so casually without worry of his home being traced?

No offense but that sounds bad. There is loose continuity between the pre Daniel Craig Bond films that makes the Bond being a codeman not work.
He does use an alias when he goes undercover and most, if not all, of his enemies end up dying.

I wanted to avoid this thread lol.

But there was an idea briefly very briefly where the house in skyfall would’ve been a place for retired 00s and they wanted to get all the old bonds back. But then they decided nah because that would exacerbate the “code name” bullshyt which the producers have said time after time isn’t true and the movies before casino royale all bear that out.

The second idea was to make sean Connery Kincaid

But there was never an idea to have all the old bonds team up like voltron breh

Them who? It’s the opinion of an actor who has no say so on what happens to the franchise This has no impact on what Barbara broccoli and Michael Wilson are going to do.
