Buying food at 99 cent stores :scust::scust::scust::scust::scust::scust::scust:

Didn't whole foods get busted for allegedly selling products claiming they were organic and really wasn't? I also heard of them selling fugazi EVOO claiming to be organic and from italy.

It's all marketing tho. I only go to Dollar tree for condiments and dish soap.

No, isn’t aldi Midwest?

And I shop at this spot called Berkeley bowl as well as the farmers markets outs here, mixed in with some traders Joe’s, Safeway and sprouts. Occasionally I’ll hit Whole Foods if I’m near it and it’s the most convenient place to stop to pick up what I may need that night.
im not sure.. i been in NC for a mnute, and they got em out here, and thats the real lick..

Whole Foods bought this chain called GreenLife out here, thats actually a bit better & cheaper than Whole Foods.. :mjpls:

Damn that's fuucked up. I see what the chart is trying to show, it 8s amazing how much faster it has grown, but I'm sure there are even more grocery shopper that do go to stores that have fresh fruits and vegetables.

99 cents was the only store that sold

Why even compare it to whole foods as if that’s the standard store for average Americans? I make a good living and don’t even shop at Whole Foods due to there being better quality stores that cost less.

On the flip side I don’t shop at dollar stores either :mjpls:

dollar stores serve their purposes..

they got Aldi out where you live..? :dwillhuh:

Close enough. Aldi & Trader Joe's are corporate siblings and they're basically the same store.

EDIT:

This video does a good explaining the difference between Aldi & Trader's Joe at the 2:33 mark:

In 2017, Aldi announced they were planning on becoming a major competitor in the US grocery store market, investing a mind-blowing $3.4 billion into current and future American endeavors. If you don't have an Aldi near you now, one might be popping up soon. So, what can you expect? Here's the fascinating history behind this up-and-coming US chain…

Aldi:wow:

We got a store called LIDL:ohlawd:

Love it because it forces the shoprites in the area to keep prices down...and shoprite alreadt has fair prices as is:steviej:
$20 in Aldi will have you eating good for a minute.. :wow:

also.. Harris Teeter late-night when their putting fresh produce in.. :blessed:

the real lick alot of folks sleep on, is hitting the stock people up about "damaged" perishables.. usually get 'em for about 75% off.. :whoo:
