Why even compare it to whole foods as if that’s the standard store for average Americans? I make a good living and don’t even shop at Whole Foods due to there being better quality stores that cost less.
On the flip side I don’t shop at dollar stores either
exactly.. food maxx, raley's (rarely.. dont even see many around anymore honestly), safeway and even wal mart for me
fun fact: Dollarama (Canadian dollar store franchise) was started by Lebanese immigrants and the company owners are now Billionaires.

And I shop at this spot called Berkeley bowl as well as the farmers markets outs here, mixed in with some traders Joe’s, Safeway and sprouts. Occasionally I’ll hit Whole Foods if I’m near it and it’s the most convenient place to stop to pick up what I may need that night.
