She definitely isn't just talking about just sex and haters anymore. She was always a wiz kid when it comes to melodies and hooks but she couldn't really write a song before imo. She stepped up here big time


I don't think this is the rappity rap album she said she was doing, but she definitely leaned more into that lane and the production is less sugary pop which was getting stale.

The Missy/Erykah comparisons are on point. She creates these unique, dreamy songs where her personality and songwriting shine through. This is playing to the strengths that originally gave her a fanbase rather than the safe pop/r&b she was doing the last few albums.

Its a good pop rap album, as far as mainstream female rappers its the best album in a long time. The bar was low, but still.
