Does TheColi fukk with Kevin Smith flicks?

ha funny, was just starting a kevin smith marathon. have gone thru these two so far:


clerks is just and nothing can fukk with it, obviously

they say mallrats is a cult classic and everything but I REALLLLLLLLY can't see what the big deal is. the dialogue is snappy but tries a bit too hard, the plot is pretty standard.

Clerks is in my top 10 easily...GOAT shyt right there.

Part 2 is a very good sequel as well. Mallrats and Jay & Silent Bob are dope. Dogma as well.

After that

Zack and Miri is solid actually

Ya I liked all the movies with the Jay and Silent Bob characters, and Zack and Miri was solid too. I listen to the podcast fairly regularly as well

That's the best thing about Mallrats. The plot is kinda meh and the director's cut isn't much better so while it has some story problems, the dialogue is incredibly dope and what keeps me coming back

jay and silet bob strike back is as great as kevin smith ever got. if you've seen that movie, then you've seen all of his shyt. only thing is jay and silent bob is the movie where he got it right, everythin' else was misses with no hits

zach and miri was only good because of elizabeth banks fine ass and craig was funny as hell but tichina arnold embarrassed herself with that 5 minute performance of her's. smh

but again, all of his other movies are filled with the typical fart jokes and over the top use of curse words. with comedy and cursin', it's about timin', art and rhythm. kevin just seems to go over the top with his comedy with no real sense of rhythm to it. which is why i say he ain't got it which is also why he "lucked" up with the jay and silent bob strike back movie because all of his other movies suck

I'm a huge fan of his 90s and early to mid 2000s stuff. Chasing Amy is hands down his best work to date.
