Does prime Roy Jones Jr. have a chance against prime Sugar Ray Robinson?

What about Carlos Monzon?

I think in spots he'd give RJ trouble because he knew how to fight tall & hand a great jab. It wasn't just RJ's speed or power that was the main problem, it was his footspeed & footwork that would give most boxers major issues. Roy knew how to run you into fast counters & could close the gap quickly when he wanted to

@Knicksman20 yeah burley is very good but i think he started at ww. i read that he used to win fights against guys much bigger than him all the time.

also what about mike mcallum in his prime at 160.....? i thought he was frustrating roy a bit at lhw.

Yeah Burley had to jump weight classes to get fights because he was so avoided. No one wanted or would give him a title shot because he was that good. He would still give Roy problems of not beat him just on styles. He was weighing about 158 when he started campaigning as a MW.

Forgot about him!!! Prime McCallum would've been a problem for Roy. The Body Snatcher was a bad man. Great counter puncher, great jab, & great chin. He also had the great Eddie Futch in his corner who was in Montell Griffin's corner when Roy got that DQ. Griffin was giving RJ issues till RJ finally started figuring him out

RJJ in his prime could very well be the most talented boxer to ever Grace the ring. My personal favorite of all. I still get sad when I think of the later years of his career but real heads know what's up.

There's records and archival footage that show the comp he was facing
..fucc is you talking about? :what::dahell:

Anyway,

Funny thing about SRR is that as great as all the video we have of him shows him...there's no footage of him during his 'prime' so it got better :whew:
