Does it make me a dikk for hoping that Captain Marvel bombs at the box office?

I wouldn't say you're hating. It doesn't look good. Nothing in the trailers really wow'ed me and the preproduction shots all looked like trash.

More importantly, you're building this supposedly more powerful character's story arc as an afterthought to everything up to this point. We have seen other people's power levels and bringing her in out of nowhere to be this superior character is fukkin stupid.

I actually did want a Captain Marvel movie, but not like this. She's actually a great character who probably could have been done properly on Netflix. Didn't like the choice of casting either. Story seems boring in comparison to what they could have done.

But we will see what happens. I guess her and Warlock will come save all these nikkas

It's hard to trust Marvel to balance this shift to obscure characters with the ones we know their capabilities already, but Marvel has gotten it right so far. I'm going to trust the process and hope it doesn't suck

Rogue needs to be redeemed in the next X-men movie. Her character so far has been super emo and not even mentionable when discussing the movies.

The third white woman to headline a superhero movie in 2 years if you count the Wasp, meanwhile Blade and Black Panther were nearly 20 years apart. also the only movies with black female leads, that aren't wearing green makeup to cover their complexions.

tell them we're saving our money for black girls.

also if you count starwars as a superhero movie, this is like the 5th white woman to headline one of these movies in the past 4 years. Seems to me like white woman are doing just fine.
