Does HL do any charity / giving back to the community/ pro bono work?

yeah there were some upset dudes lol. I was selected to go to an allstar tournament during the same time as our 2 week practice and it was either play in the all star tournament and not play on the team, or miss the all star tournament and play on the team. I skipped the all star tourney.

Detroit is bouncing back hard.. other than that, it's low key an awesome culturally diverse, and eventful place. NYC is the most overrated place on the Planet.

Do you help with set up/planning or is an organization you're with one of the presenters?

I'm on the planning committee currently for the health fair my job is hosting in May. Could use some ideas/strategies for the next one.

I actually participate in the clinical activites, not the organizational aspect. I'm a clinician so I do alot of physical exams, blood work, diabetic screening, blood pressure checks, and all that. I'm unfortunately not too involved with the planning bit I do applaud you for your work.

My skill set involves software development so I can preform my function anywhere. ... I deal with mostly Indians so they are basically the historical foe of certain types of Muslims, but they don't even know I'm Muslim... and I don't mind the elephants n sh1t on the desk.

What causes r you involved with? I can direct you to a good Atheist founded Charity foundation... there are so many to filter through before locating the right one. Plus they all support universal causes Get Involved | We Are Atheism

lol, were we talking about the military or something??? Why did you ask if I was ever in direct combat? yeah I was but not by choice.. it wasn't my intention to combat other brown people because of imperialism.

There's a large Muslim and a large Christian Arabic and Persian population in MI. They're ok except the ones that set up shop in black communities (just like any foreign group that does this) .

Also, I don't like the fact that some of their women are the baddest on Earth and they usually only stick with people from their culture..... meanwhile the men are at white and black strip clubs and smashing everybody.

I usually help volunteer at a food pantry on Wednesdays. But it's been kind of hard getting around this semester. The food pantry starts at 3, and my last class of the day ends at 2:30. Now the only thing my mind, at the conclusion of class is solidifying plans with hoes for some extra curricular affairs

I plan to pick it back up in the summer...

It's an interesting experience, to say the least.

Well, what community are you speaking of?

I sponsor some children in Africa through world vision. It's really difficult to know if you're resources are being used appropriately with world wide organizations... so I do some local sh1t when I can.

I'm Muslim, I don't do anything through Islamic organizations, because I want all of anything I have to go to black or African communities and I haven't found real Islamic organizations that do that.

If your Muslim then race shouldn't matter as long as your money is helping people. I mean, you have the right to spend as you see fit, but what you're describing isn't zakat
