The people who say Bis is some kind of genius - like me -- actually LISTEN to his bars and UNDERSTAND what he's saying. If you DON'T understand what he's saying then it sounds like gibberish. I bet y'all can't tell if a rhyme in a language you don't understand is dope either. So it's not about this album being dope or that album being wack: just listen to 33 3s, Poet Laurette 2, [that joint on Black Trash where he plays the lawyer], Buckingham Palace, etc.. If WHAT HE'S SAYING doesn't grab you then you just don't get him. It's fine everyone can't understand everything. My girlfriend can't stand Classical music but that don't mean they should scrap all Classical, just means she needs something more basic

Canibus is one of the dopest lyricists in Hip Hop to ever pick up a pen.

He's got mad quotables and an interesting imagination that plays out in his rhymes.

Fvcking Poet Laureate II is amazing to me.
Rip The Jacker is just a disgusting representation of lyricism from beginning to end.

You can't front on Canibus' ability as a lyricist this dude says some things that are dope as fvck and at times worded so well they blow my mind.
Does he have wack songs ? Subpar production ? OR weak projects ? Yes, a chunk of his discography has those issues but he also has a ton of dope projects or songs that stand alone so well they can at least be respected.
And yes Canibus CAN and DOES OD on talking about how dope he is, it's apart of his entire make up as an artist, dude has to have over 50 tracks all in all talking about how nice he is (actually had a fellow Canibus fan try to deny this sh1t once that didn't fly at all).

His other albums are good to great with some terrible ones I won't even mention.

Of course it can't all be dope, and he does have tracks that are terrible but
his great stuff? It's some truly great stuff.

Canibus alongside Jay-Z,Nas and other rappers has influenced me a ton and I respect his great pen a great deal, dude is potent as fvck when he gets down to it.
