Your Aunty is only going to search but so far for music. She hears something she likes on the radio and she'll take it from there. I think the argument is there are huge amount of talented people that fit the criteria for radio play yet they never make it to the platform because in order to compile stats you have to use a label's ball. That's where the accusations start because if the label is consistently going for a specific thing then it's not a stretch to declare it an agenda. Most of what you said is real shyt. But okay...people have all these streaming services and they ALL recommend artists based on what the user listens to. I've discovered so many good artists through streaming services, so how can you not blame the people? I pick and choose who I support. Who's fault is it that people see another person on the internet that's considered a "celebrity" and they feel they HAVE to listen to that person's music or follow them? To me that sounds insane.
