That’s what I was trying to tell the breh @B86 . There’s an agenda afoot.

He name dropped Bey and Rihanna but he did it subconsciously without even really thinking about why those were the first two names that popped up in his mind. Lol. There’s a reason for that.

Mary and Keyshia dropped two of the most critically acclaimed albums last year but neither one did anything on the charts. There is definitely NOT a lack of quality. It’s a lack of visibility because labels aren’t pushing music by Black artists like that. People like Adele and Sam Smith and Bruno can get radio play on just about every format known to man, including urban ones. But yet, Black artists are relegated to just urban...unless your name is Beyoncé or Rihanna.
Again, I hear you, but I'm still not sure what any of this has to do with people listening to what they want to listen to. Any and everything can be marketed to whoever but if you have a damn near unlimited amount of choices of who/want you want to hear then why does anyone have to listen to what's being "pushed"?

And the majority DON'T listen to the radio in this day & age so yall gotta stop trying to use that. Streaming is so much bigger than radio

Waits on sidelines to see someone popping and then just hate
Bruno shyt jams. Why you so mad
how can someone be a crab in a barrel nikka with Bruno, when he is not Black he is filipino/mixed with some Puerto Rican:what:

in fact, doesnt he have some Ashkenazi Jew in him? theres probably 99.9% chance he has more white in him than Black. when you add everything together(Ashkenazi, PR, from his father + his mother hSpanishpanish ancestry)

He's problematic but ppl will dismiss it as entertaining. For those saying well at least he is doing real R&B and how black artist have resorted to trap, stop acting like the industry will green light this for a black artist, Stephanie MIlls spoke on this a month ago.

Dudes doesn't need any new ideas or creativity. All he does is jack Black music from the 80's and 90's.

How the fukk can your discography look like a throwback playlist?

I can see him calling Quincy Jones asking for some old Thriller throwaway sessions. On some "I'm a huge fan" shyt.

ya know what?

youre 100 percent right.

Not black people. Facts.

And fyi, I'm 24, and remember him from B.O.B's "Nothing on you" song in 2010. No black ppl was fukking with him.

Yo blatant lies and caping leads me to believe you a cac
you was a whole kid trying to tell mfs what's popping from your detention room:mjlol:
This is a golden age of Black R&B/Soul artists, but you only seem to know about what mass media feeds you. Look into the following artists, who are killing shyt right now:

The Foreign Exchange
KING
Solange
Jesse Boykins III
Anderson.Paak
The Internet
Thundercat
Robert Glasper
Eric Roberson

Plus, many of our legends are still dropping heat rocks:

D'Angelo (just dropped an album in late 2014)
India.Arie (just dropped an album in 2017)
Musiq Soulchild (just dropped an album in 2017)

I HATE when nikkas start talking that "R&B is dead" shyt on the internet. R&B/Soul is producing the best music in the world.
lmao @ golden age, you are fukkin tripping

damn near every name you listed is either niche, struggling or both. nikkas on the internet been saying Jesse Boykins got next since like 2009

She is right about the CardiB thing. They pick an artist and push them on us until they're done with them and basically toss them in the trash. CardiB is going to go as far as the powers that be will allow it.

For the record I love the 90's. I grew up in the 90s and it was fukking great! So I don't mind seeing 90s shyt cuz it reminds me of my childhood and probably the last great decade before everything went to shyt...So keep pushing that 90s heat. Love it :banderas:
