Lol @ paying respects, such an antiquated concept. Internet changed the game, there's no point to them.

And don't get me started on opening credits...
I can agree with opening credits but not many movies (the good ones at least) have opening credits anymore

If I hear a song or see an actor that came outta left field i might look for that person in the credits.

I think it depends on how much I loved the movie. I THINK.

But generally, no.

The 'respect' notion is antiquated. If ever I was a grip or some shyt on a movie I'd def stay to see my name scroll, but I wouldn't be offended if folks left.

Respect is never antiquated breh. Ever. If I work my ass off on a movie or anything for public consumption, it'd be nice to get some props for what I'm doing

Not saying respect is antiquated, saying the notion of sitting to the end as a sign of respect is antiquated. It absolutely is.

Disagree breh. Are there other ways to find out? of course but there's a reason those end credits are there and it's not just to drag out the runtime

Only time is when I know someone has a cameo or small role in a movie, or an extra with a line. So I only did it for 2 movies. The New Jurasick Park that came out, and old dog

Dog, it's like the credits of the textbook...should teachers require students to read the names of all the contributors at the end of each semester? :skip:

I don't mind the ending credits being there, just saying the notion that me getting up and leaving is disrespectful is antiquated and off base. Only time I'd agree is if it's the premier and the cast and crew are there.

Here's the difference though: the contributors of a textbook are doing what they do in order for the teachers to get props and get love and most people don't even thank them. The guys and gals working on a movie set are all working on one accord and not just for the glory of one person or one group, it's for the entirety of the team and without one of them, the show doesn't work. Now whether you want to do it or not is one thing, no one's judging that, but to say sitting there to show these cats some respect and show them some love is antiquated? I don't see it

For real. That would be like walking out of a Broadway play before the actors came out for the encore.
