Doechii's album "ABNH" was what Hip Hop heads were waiting for but it went under the radar so now you can't complain about Sexyy Red and Ice Spice.

And Scar Lip career was destroyed with the corny gruff NY gimmick

Skimmed through that Tiny Desk, this is what the booth is championing in 2024:mjlol:?

I see why she is nominated for a Grammy though. This is exactly the type of rap that wins grammys lol.

No,just no. Glorilla actually is much better than her. And I say that as someone who thinks hellhound rap needs to go. She is not "the one" you can say we ignored in an effort to guilt trip us. You can not say shes "under the radar" when you got people like Sada Baby having they style used by Kendrick but people dont even realize it:mjlol:

Too many examples of under the radar rappers to try to make her a martyr based on what i just heard. Who was that white rapper who won a grammy over Kendrick? Thats the kind of cringe i was hearing as i skimmed. It better be bots hyping this girl up:scust:#NotMyBooth
I don’t know much about her at all. I’m just saying that I’ve heard of her without knowing much about her at all. She got that one song what it is or whatever it’s called that samples a popular hook from a popular song from the 2000’s. She’s TDE so that helps her. None of these female rappers stay at the top long enough for me to say who’s better or whatever. People like Glorilla bow but they’ll find a reason to hate her in a couple years. Rap game super fickle now. This chick is getting major looks yet people here are saying she’s “under the radar” She seems to be winning big time to me.

Yep she was a failed r&b artist who rebranded as a "rapper". I remember her getting a huge push as an rnb artist but her album flopped to hell.

Okay,so I was right to not know she rapped. Ive definitely seen her sing, and seen her twerk. Never a highlight of her bars.

Give me BK The Rula mumble rap over this,at least you get vibes:wow:

And Tia Corrine is far better all around.

Rappers who are trying to be nice but aint, offend me worse than rappers that cant rap and aint trying. Because if you really are trying, you would hear yourself, Realize you arent that nice, and keep working at it. Rather than rushing mediocre bars on us and expexting to be exhaulted because your "technically" nicer than people who arent even trying. But really id rather listen to some of them, because at least they say interesting or humorous bars at times.

Whoever tried to push her failed. A female who sometimes sounds like DMX/sometimes tries to be depressed/sexy is weird… even for 2024 lol. She was DOA. At least she got a mild hit out of it though :yeshrug:

Oh TDE? Shes definitely a plant then. They have yet to put out a popular "organic" act. And maybe theres no such thing as a popular purely organic act, becauase you need a push to get to a certain level. But lets just say TDE artist seem to get alot more "forced momentum" than alot of artist who blow needed. This is what puts you in plant territory.

When I was in Asia last year I heard that "What It Is" song everywhere mostly because it's TikTok popularity. Hated it lol. But she not some underground act.
