Eh, it's clear what's happening but I want girls that make music like her to get spotlighted and promoted

We've had the opposite pushed in our face for the last 5 years

Yup, it's time for something new. We as a people def need it. This old stuff tired

I've spoken on it,but the basic elements are fake cosigns, fake narratives, forced pushed that don't match reality on any landscape. Not much buzz with any demographic on any platform(internet or the streets). But cosigns from legends, and all sorts of awards designed to look organic. While in reality the artist has less motion than Herschell Walker at a spelling bee,UNTIL the fake cosigns, fake narratives, fake accolades start to work. Convincing more fans they should be checking for the artist. This is a far cry from normal label promotion. Regular push by the machine is more like supplements you could by at GNC,that could potentially get you suspended. But you could argue it's not cheating. Industry plant promotion is a shot straight to the ass, that labels have gotten better at hiding from detection#BALCOechi

Damn sure ain't organic and deserves an asterisk. This is the TDE way, can't argue so far its been for a good cause. Both Kendrick and SZA turned out to be great artist who deserved the forced push. I got a feeling they about to go 2 for 3:respect:
Well you and I can respectfully disagree on what constitutes an industry plant. To me it derives from a time when consumers actually cared about independence when it came to artists and tried to hide their label affiliation. Almost none of the artists everyone on this site call “industry plants” have ever tried to portray themselves like this. Doechii specifically has touted her TDE affiliation from the start which is easily one of the strongest and most sought after industry co-signs and necessarily not something a plant would do.
The reason record contracts are so predatory is because for every 20 artists they “push the button” for and spend a ton of money to promote they hope that one makes it. The one success pays for all the failures. Somewhere right now people are working A&R jobs trying to figure out a song that gets people to spend 2 seconds more on TikTok videos than similar songs or other such metrics in order to try and find the next Doechii. It’s all out in the open.
