i assume taking on Crawford's contract was a must for BOS to do this, that is risky but the other 2 really arent. A Gon always produces and Beckett had a 2.89 ERA as recently as last year. wouldnt surprise me at all if he pitched well for them

No way. Crawford's contract was an unmovable albatross, while Beckett is only signed for two more years and probably could have been moved on his own this offseason.
