RTD has his own agenda, the Gay agenda as some have called it since 2005 but this is something else. It's representation, inclusivity etc but as much as RTD and the BBC say otherwise its very much Disney sticking their oar in. There's already been stuff added at Disney's request. Disney, who for 60 years have had no input in Who and it's done quite alright. Rumours are they offered to distribute 2 series. Honestly? Get them to fukk after that and fukk their money. Increased budget isn't that noticeable and Who doesn't need it.

DISNEY will hurt who the way suits with the money had no clue about Trek in the 90's.Give me 2 or 3 more series and maybe the spin-off then rest this show. I've been watching nearly 40 years butit has lost it's way. And not because of a black, campy Doctor but because rather than doing it's own thing like it did for 26 years, it's being polluted by the one thing the BBC rarely allowed; interference by people who don't have a fukking clue BUT hold the money.
I sat and watched a cardboard cut out of a Voord fall down a shaft and I may have laughed but the story was still told. No point having a budget to make it look good if that's the focus.

the irony is, as someone who's deeply familiar with the lore in all it's types, you kinda get tired of hoping and theorizing that the Big Bad is somebody from Classic Who/the extended universe.
