I don’t think he is removing himself from blameSounds like he doesn’t want accountability and is making excuses, which is typical Doc behavior. Those Clippers teams had as much talent as anyone in those years, and even if you want to argue that they didn’t, since he was the GM that’s on him too.
Reddikk isn't the GM/head coach with championship pedigree. We have a problem with Doc saying it because his position was to lead them beyond that. And if it truly wasn't working, he had the power to make the roster moves to assemble a group that did work. It's funny because Redikk said damn near the exact same thing but now has a problem with Doc saying it.
Now to be fair, I do remember the Clippers getting hosed against OKC in their series. This was on the heels of the Sterling controversy and before Ballmer bought them. The Clippers were a really good regular season team. However, as a fan, you gotta be able to differentiate teams that are good during the regular season vs teams that are more effective in the playoffs.
In 2014, they were not beating those Spurs or OKC teams. Again, I never saw anything from that Clippers team to make me believe they could win a series against either of those teams.
I just find it funny because I really don’t have the perception of those Clipper teams being the best teams not to win a championship or some shyt. Nyggas talk as if they were the Blazers or Kings from the early 2000s.

Outside of Hot Sauce(Jamal Crawford) what bench do you speak of? We actually had a bench during Vinny The Black last year with the team before Doc was brought in. Doc's teams were extremely top heavy. Hack-a-(DeAndre) Jordon nullified his defensive excellence. JJ Redikk wasn't a good post season player. Hell yeah I'mma bring up the lack of wings issue that plagued us. Outside of Matt Barnes we picked up a washed Hedo Turkalou, washed Paul Pierce, washed Danny Granger, washed Caron Butler, washed Grant Hill, etc.. shyt was sad. Should've beat Houston though but we can also go in on how CP3 and Blake didn't want all the smoke half the time the post season as well. You REALLY like that 3&D excuse

I want a broad to resemble her ma dukes not her dadCherypicking. She could be Bol Bol's complexion.
She's always been cute and her body has always been right.
Greg Poppavich gifted the warriors a title by intentionally losing the last game of the season to the pelicans and allowing them to make the playoffs and it fukked the bracket up completely.
But Doc is 100% correct. That clippers team had a 1 dimensional center, a PF who could only dunk (no offensive game outside the paint) an undersized PG with multiple playoffs and 1 dimensional wings who were either great shooters (reddikk) great scorer (crawford) or a defensive 1st guy (barnes). That team was never going to win
