Do you think DBZ and other manga franchises can ever replicate Marvels success on the silver screen?

:ld:I mean there was a time when Iron Man and Batman were considered childrens genres and adults who would collect batman comics were seen as man childs. But now most of the audience for the marvel movies are adults and its treated as as more of a serious genre with adult themes and complex plots. Could DBZ ever be replicate marvels formula and be successful, catering to a more mature crowd than the usual 10-25 year old weaboos.
:blessed:Wouldnt mind seeing a CGI spirit bomb and supersayian transformation on imax too.:takedat:

Nope. Live action could never capture the essence of DBZ.
Because theyve never done it right. I think someone could do it tho, but itll need be a director like Christopher Nolan . We could say the same thing about the 70s hulk live action shows:mjlol:

Yet in the 2000s they did a decent live action movie with Eric bana. It can be done as Hulk has shown

The problem to me is that those properties would have to be done justice by Japanese cinema, and the western support would have to go beyond the cult following of Asian films. Being done by Hollywood would result in some b*stardization that would be so awful, that no one would support a series.

:yeshrug:i would much rather have the japanese do it actually. I think most would agree. And theres a large and dedicated fan base in Japan. I prefer it actually when i think about it. English subs will be all i need.
