This was always a no-win situation. I know everyone is talking about Saigon, which makes sense after the Video/Pictures today, but in case of Afghanistan, it's just a country that doesn't want/doesn't care about improving. It sucks that there is a Humanitarian issue now, but there was always going to be one.

Just too much money was invested into this thing, originally to find bin Laden, who actually was in Pakistan.

This is one of the biggest fiascos in history.

You saw dead bodies falling from US aircraft , the Taliban cheering in Kabul, Afghan NATO civilian workers abandoned to their death, and mighty America humbled. This is embarrassing, humiliating and shameful for Joe Biden and the entire US government.

Which US ally will ever trust them again?

hey.. 20 years is a very long time and if a country cant sort their shyt out in two decades with nation building and training then what is there to do?
The country's fate was in the afghan's hands and the taliban is part of that fate, like it or dislike it.

The government seemed so fukking corrupt with everything going on along with the US (Don Trump) doing negotiations with so called terrorist's in Doha..a big clusterfukk.

The young generation of hopefuls in afganistan are the one's truly affected in the long run, they started to open up and experiment with social construct and showing ability to improve the economy but it seems that will soon fall down the drain..
Horrible ordeal!!

It was time to go. Now I think if there was a business reason, say precious earth materials there, we wouldn't have pulled out. Whatever is there our government doesn't see the value in sticking it out. Look how fast things folded.
  1. It tells you that the money we pumped into Afghanistan to train their military was for nothing. It was a joke. I'm sure Kareem, who stood guard at the palace, went home and put on his Taliban uniform that he's been waiting to wear in public:mjlol:
  2. This was strategic. We know the region. We knew what would happen when we pulled out. We knew how it would look, and did it anyway.
