Do you put Regina King as an A list black actress?

The obvious are Viola Davis, Angela Bassett, Halle (used to be Jada). But do you think of her in that same way? Or is she in that Regina Hall category to you? If so, which role defines her as an A list actress? On a side note she was on "Whats Happening Now". But when she was 227 that was my childhood crush.

I consider A-list actors to be people who headline movies so I wouldn't put Regina King in that category.
She is one of the best actresses working today though but she is more of a "character actor" in my estimation.
She gets cast in supporting roles that she knocks out of the park.

Considering it is hard to make moves in Hollywood as a black woman. Particularly when they start to get older.

Good question, unfortunately no one springs to mind as a headliner...Lupita maybe but I’m not sure anyone would jump to go see a movie just based on her being the star. Kind of sad now that I think about it, because black actresses don’t really get a chance to shine in anything outside of the roles they seem to always get. Only one headlining right now is Haddish and her schtick is almost played out already.
