Don't know if these count as celebrities but...

When i was a kid there was another kid I went to church with who would go on to play D1 basketball and ended up on the Spurs Summer league roster. He had like a 10-year career playing overseas.

Went to high school with two other guys who went on to play in the NFL. Didn't know them personally though. My older brother probably did since he beat up one of their best friends in our front yard.
