OP I've been down and I've been up....the one lesson I would give to anyone for free is LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS.

I just saw a friend with who owns a home and rental properties..he was zip tying bodywork on his car.

I just saw another friend who's putting a bid on a 950,000 1100sqft home. I would never ask but using my judgement he and his old lady gotta be making 200k combined a year TOPS.

I know too many people who are obsessed with the idea of being wealthy...to each his own

Nothing gives you piece of mind more than not worrying about a bill though:manny:

I had a company hit me up to apply a while back on LinkedIn, they were offering $125k. When I went to apply the listening was closed... But it reopened last week so I jumped on it.

Really hoping something works out here. I know a lot of y'all are saying it's not all that but trust me if you were really making mediocre money it'd mean everything :mjcry:

I've been in the 120K range since the start of this year...my lifestyle has gotten a bit more expensive on the way here but I'm capped out now, got a crib so I'm just trying to get ahead at this point. Single and living in ATL.

Honestly it doesn't feel like I'm balling, just very comfortable. The part for me that has really dragged me down is helping out my family with their finances... I'm talking over 30K in expenses. Next year a few items come off the books and I'm not giving anyone shyt from now on, I've learned my lessons and helped as much as I could.

can't stress this enough. it's not about how much u make, it's about how much u spend.

if u can't make a raise, but are able to cut your expenses, it's essentially the same thing ur accomplishing.

It includes child support payments but doesn't include the shyt i buy for them. Last weekend for example i spent like $700 on clothes and other shyt they needed or wanted. I also pay for their extracurricular activities. Iphones. Jordans. Typical shyt teens want

dude, I was paying for competitive cheerleading for like the last 4 years. my oldest kid aged out last year, and my youngest switched to cheer on her school team, which essentially cost nothing in comparison.

me and my ex were doing backflips when we found out she was getting out of competitive cheer :whew:

Yeah. shyt ain't no joke. I live in NYC so child support can go up until the age of 26 if they stay in school
