I'm from the former Yugoslavia so you already know what time it is :banderas: If only the country was as stable as my feet positioning during an off the screen jumper :to:

Middle school fukked my jumper up and I didn't play formal ball after that. Mostly played in the gym and the ceilings were so low and I was so tall (6'3 at 13/14 playing nikkas like 5'8/5'9 5'10 the most) that I had to shoot on a bee line angle to avoid hitting the pipes and shyt in the basement. I went from a much more traditional form as a younger kid to having a Shawn Marion release over those years and it just became natural. I don't play enough for it to matter now and the shyt still goes in so it's whatever, but I know that shyt gets some looks.

Had one dude call me out on it at the park a couple years back and a nikka straight felt :mjcry: inside like "I know man I know :mjcry:"

Rec coach tried to change my shot when I was teen. I couldn’t commit to it and been shooting unorthodox ever since :manny:

My shot is fukked up. When i started playing, I would shoot from as far as i could physically throw it so all I had to do was aim. In youth league, we would play full court on the side baskets at the main gym so the court was short and there was no 3 point line. They typically called everything a 2 but my coach always argued for mine to be counted as threes because I was shooting from 25-30 feet.

As I got bigger and stronger, I was still used to a lower release point so I never adopted the textbook form.

Uncertain grounds
man i was at the gym last week and hit a game winning three :banderas: and this asian dude on the other team comes up and tells me i shoot like paul millsap. i was like :what: that's such a random comparison, millsap's shooting form isn't unique enough to be notable... so i ask the dude if hes saying i have good shooting form.

he gives me the :manny: and says hes never seen paul millsap play so he doesnt know, and then he just walked away :what: :what: :what:

gotta say brehs i still do not know what to make of that interaction :what:guess i shoot like paul millsap :manny:

:laff:

My form is solid. Some say pretty. It’s consistent. I just have a weird side spin that I can’t figure out what from. Nobody has ever tried to really tinker with it.

My jumper used to be beautiful. Had multiple times where I'd get in a gym and folks would see my form and ask if I've played organized before. After I stopped playing as often though I lost my rhythm so now I don't have that same rhythm to it that's fukked my jumper all up. I don't put enough leg into my shot. Only time I still have that same rhythm is coming off a screen for a catch and shoot jumper since I'm trying to gather my balance while jumping up so I jump higher and put more legs into it.

Sad cause I used to shoot a regular jumper a good 10-15 feet behind the line.
