Do you get turned off by Black events that seem like “Blavitiy, Root, New Black” type of function?

What's wrong with black people discussing emotional and mental health

so what if some of them are from a bougie background

bougie nikkas have always been apart of black centric/focused issues

from LGBT to the most pan-african/black nationalist

I’ll post a photo. I didn’t want to promote the event, but it popped up on my timeline.

Yeah I wanted to go to AfroPunk a few years ago, until I discovered what it was really about.

:dame:

Worst thing about Afropunk is that it's been totally gentrified as opposed to what it was supposed to be at the beginning, there's various people who worked for the organsiation (including one of the founders I believe) who went public about how the whole thing was overcome and basically became a bougie corporate event with seemingly terrible work relations, including harassment. I went to a couple editions here in Paris and while the first one was really cool and all the second kind of felt like any other big festival and like some people were basically showing off how "woke" they were. Glad I didn't pay either time lol

Anyways yes I might get turned off by certain events like those, I'll do my googles before going to know who are the people and what are there general views on black men specifically. Or I'll just go for the music :yeshrug:

Was on an open invite zoom call that was supposed to be about entrepreneurs in the area and it turned into a sista ranting about the patriarchy that exists in black culture and how no one supports her business and basically was saying people should be forced to buy from her...

Turns out this chick prints custom knickknacks with a 3D printer and makes t-shirts out of her house :dead:

I know some guys go to these events because of the lopsided Female-To-Male Ratio, thinking they'll be able to pull. Not realizing alot of these women are flabby and sick (mentally/physically). The most philosophical speakers up there talking about nothing, and submissive introverted dudes getting dragged to these events by their Significant Other like a dog on a leash:scust:

Unless Chloe Bailey herself said me and her are dipping out after 45 minutes:hubie:
