If he didn't know that based on the following:
Harbs and co went after Hasselbeck 2 offseasons ago. He declined and they went with Alex.
Haarbs and co went after Peyton last offseason. he declined and they went with Alex...but signed him to a deal that allowed them to walk away after 1 season.
Add to that they traded up to draft his heir apparent.
I mean, if he thought his job wasn't up for grabs then he's a clown. I don't really care if he broke the record for completion percentage on 5 yard checkdowns. The guy is an 8 year vet playing in a simplistic offense. He should be head and shoulders above Kaep but he isn't.
