There's no cops on every block like NYC. If you get fukked up, you get fukked up.

see now this is where I tend to disagree

the reason nyc is so safe is cause of the cop presence

and not just marked cars...everyone knows its our undercover dudes that'll yoke you up with the quickness lol

man 2 weeks ago I got passed by an undercover white mercedes benz on the belt parkway (his lights were flashing)

I feel like you're always around a cop or a federal agent in NY

I am
The Bronx is still a mess, but it is safer.

A lot of the bad dudes that arent in jail have all mvoed up upstate to places like Newburgh, Binghamton, Albany etc...

If you want an unsafe city walk around Albany...its smaller and one wrong turn and you never know.

this, alotta upstate hoodz still be on they 90's shyt, aint no glitz n glamour up there. plus the upstate hoodz dont have a police infestation like gotham, i knew a few nikkaz that went 2 upstate hoodz on some get money/takeover ish, not even realizin where they at, needless 2 say they got stretched out. newburgh, poughkeepsie, albany, n buffalo are like the worst hoodz in ny if u talkin per capita, them nikkaz aint got nothin else 2 do up there but get it in

As far as I'm concerned, it's all safe. I'm not too familiar with most of the Bronx, but I doubt the most dangerous parts there are too diferent from the most dangerous parts in Brooklyn, so I'll stand by my opinion.
It's like this, and it's like this in most cities, you can have a city or metro area that is like 99% safe and so it feels like 100% safe. The 1% of crime is not that visible because it's not happening 24/7. And, the crime happens at sporadic times.

As an ex-cop, this is what I saw, crime happens almost every day. The crimes that occurred almost daily were shoplifting, domestic assault, and DUI. Violent and felonious crimes happen sporadically and in waves. You may pass through a bad part of town during the day but it doesn't have daytime crime. You may never enter a part of town that has regular crime, mainly because you have no reason to pass through. So, that adds up to you feeling 100% safe in your city. You may see news on TV about a homicide but you aren't affected by it because you don't live there. NYC is huge. No one really lives in and travels all areas of all five boroughs all the time.
