I rarely fukk with that Chinese takeout stuff anymore, but I want to try out authentic Chinese food. I get bored sometimes and watch youtube videos of food, I've watched a lot of Chinese stuff and most of it looks really good. Plus the country is enormous so there are many widely varying cuisines within China.

What are some dishes you like?

Hell yea.

That shyt is great.

But you want to go with Chinese people and let them order.

You won't be able to read the menu at a real chinese spot.

Dim Sum is also a good intro.

I think they do try to include English words too (for the American foodies) but there are a lot of mistranslations which can be funny.

I don't know the distinction. Is it just made by Chinese and authentic recipes? What is the difference between what we are presented with in America?

Not to derail but I would rather try some true Caribbean or African food first. I haven't been as blessed as some of yall that were born on it.

Always eat the authentic stuff but I prefer Vietnamese, Korean, thai over it. If you wanna experiment with real Chinese food maybe start with a dim sum outing. Then go from there to a dinner spot where you can split a bunch of dishes with other folk. Too many dishes to name.

If you don't see Chinese people dinning there it ain't authentic

Hakka Chinese food is literally fire if you can find any restaurants

Yeah I hear it's best enjoyed shared with several people.

And I can probably find it

Americanized stuff would be like the takeout places that cater mostly to non Chinese Americans. I'm not an expert but the menus between the two places will look mostly different.

I eat Jamaican food all the time, it's great. My go to order is curry chicken with white rice. And you CAN derail the thread as long as it's food related.
