I quit. You guys just don't get it. My best female friends are educated women with careers. They are not cornballs and they are not yuppies. They are just down people who are motivated. I could see myself dating any of them if we weren't literally like family. I could see myself getting with a lot of their friends I've met because they tend to hang around with and attract the same type of personality.

Being educated does not equal being a yuppie. Some of the most annoying people on earth are the extremely politically correct liberal types that you can't even joke with. Like I said, you guys all feel a certain kind of way about it because it probably describes you. This is coming from someone who has been accused of sounding "white" before. So I empathize with you all to an extent, but you're practicing willful ignorance right now. I don't understand why you all think saying that you don't want to chill with a yuppie = I want to chill with someone from the hood or a hoodrat. I don't know the threadstarter so if there's history there then that's between you guys, but you're all acting like you can't possibly understand what he and I are saying. This is the argument we're having. Explain to me how you all don't sound clueless:

I def feel you on being too hood for some corporate blacks. A lot of educated blacks feel like they have to uphold some imaginary standard, they love fronting just to show theyre different from the other nikkas

Like last Saturday I was chilling in my old neighborhood chopping it up with the young nikkas that I grew up with. My friends come pick me up and some bytch said "I dont know why you still hang out in the ghetto Biggavel, you have no reason to go there"

Needless to say I went off on her, black people like her are part of the problem. I grew up in a really hood environment and we look out for each other. Some nikkas feel like theyre above chilling with people from the hood

I think most if em feel like they should get a free pass because they've achieve career success. I don't think they'll be great relationship material. Some of em have a superiority complex too
