Not at all. That said, few people in my family are having health issues because of chronically bad habits, and all their solutions are the
quick shyt. $40 for some herbal stuff from the corner store, diet pills, crash diets, etc. NEVER a lifestyle change. This is the case for most
fat people, as American society is a very carb-heavy, salt laden, fatty and greasy food society. Most people, even if slim, if they aren't counting
calories, they are probably getting way more than they think. Quite a few big people simply don't have the desire to change and would rather
gamble with heart disease, diabetes, chronic pain, increased medical costs, etc.
Its ok to be who you want to be, but the variety of fukking excuses is what disgusts me. I could go on about this forever.
Also, fukk the "Some people are meant to be big" apologists. No no no, never has there been a time in history where humans were built to be
fat as fukk. Its a choice for most, and a curse for VERY few (thyroid and hormone issues.)
Some people have thyroid issues.
Some people legit put on weight easier than others
Incidences of thyroid issues are rare vs the overweight population. Most fat people aren't candidates for thyroid treatment. They just eat too much.
When you gain weight, fat cells form. Fat cells never leave, hence it is easier to get fat. In 90%+ cases, fat people
A: Got fat for one reason or another (Injury, pregnancy, simply poor diet and exercise habits)
and
B: Now find it harder to lose weight, not because they are destined, but because they don't have the will to change.
The longer you let it get worse, the harder it is. It really is a self-inflicted gunshot wound for most people. Also, hormones are harder to regulate when
one gets fat, with an increase in things like estrogen more prevalent. For some, its like cutting yourself on a dull blade and never getting it checked.
After a while, it becomes solely your fault, not one of genetics. Humans aren't made to be fat, this is a new thing and people just wont admit it.
