A more pressing question is where would a 26 year old man even meet a 17 year old girl? Unless he works in a customer service job? Or a job where high schooled people work. To even approach her or date her? I'm thinking the Internet ? Or if he is a grown man who doesn't mind approaching a young woman in public.
I'm 27 and outside of family stuff or some kind of community thing or chuch socially I no longer encounter teenagers much and especially not the fashion where I'd actually approach one , they don't have any place in my work place or social circle. I can't remember the last time I actually spoke to a teenage girl who was a stranger. I do not have teenage friends or acquitances.
As you grow older you don't encounter them socially as much especially those who move within serious jobs and social circles and the older you get I'd be more skeptical of the girls too tbh.
The older you get you'll realise that as you age visibly the high amount of 16 year olds who are fukking grown men who are from perfect two parent homes, have strong fathers and are from a home with attentive parents and who were well raised who aren't rebelling aren't messing with a 36 year old. If I was 40 and even if I found the girl attractive I wouldn't date her just off the fact that there is a high chance that any girl in that age group willing to 'date' me would likely have issues.
