It always happens, no matter how nice you were during the regular season, the playoffs/WS is another animal! Usually the best record teams don't win it all. Nationals coming in with huge momentum and Scherzer was pitching with pure heart even though he never got in Rhythm, it was enough to prevail. These are the moments where the youngn's make a name for themselves and Juan Soto was getting his Andrew Jones on, salute to the kid :salute:

I can see the Nats getting to Verlander early in the game. They do that and Houston might just have a problem... :heh:
Nah Nats don’t get to pitchers early. Not the type of team that jump on pitchers early. They just wear them down. Nats do a lot of their damage as the game progresses towards the end of the game. A lot of damage gets done after the middle innings. Specifically the 6th innings. That’s the inning we scored the most of our runs for the year We send a lot pitchers out the wrong way.

that’s where the bullpen issues comes in cuz we get to the middle innings with a lot of close games and then the bullpen would jsut blow the game wide open. That’s how we ended up 19-31 before we made our run. I can’t stand Suero. I dispise pitchers with high heat who can’t professionally pitch and locate.

playoffs isn’t nothing more than a crapshoot.

Didn’t know about the Nats and their 2 out hitting. Those are back breakers. Especially if the guy making good pitches.

Looking at the game again. Astros played like they team off for week. I don’t know about Brantley defensive metrics in the outfield but Looking at the Soto double off the wall, Brantley played that ball terrible like it was his first time out there in left field the park. If he played that off the wall the right way, they could’ve had a chance to keep Rendon from scoring from first.

49% of Nats runs have been scored with 2 outs. :gucci:

that’s freaking crazy
Yeah they clutch as shyt. It’s like they be trolling the opposition pitchers. Only team that really put a stop to that is the Braves.its why I was happy the cards somehow eliminated. I don’t think it would’ve been a easy series at all against the Braves. They might’ve put Washington out. They was shytting on all our pitchers last
