People try and over complicate all of this but if you just sort the above whilst changing no other variables you'll notice natural recomposition kicking in real nice.

Obviously the bf% is cap, but D.K. had one of the most shredded physiques in recent combine history. That, and his measurables are what literally catapulted his draft value into the second round.

Why wouldn’t they be? When I was in high school our summer workouts way more than 3 hours. I’d imagine pro athletes are doing much more than that. Weight room, cardio, drill work, route running. I can easily see a top WR putting in 5 hours a day doing that.

They train for 5 hours during the off-season. It's not all at once though. That bag of candy is getting burned off (which I guess is your point anyway)

Then of course they're the elite of the elite fast twitch athletes. Roughly speaking, there were 1,083,308 high school football players competing, and eventually 251 made it to pro. After simple calculation, we can get that the percentage of student-athletes going pro is approximately 0.023%.

Again, they're not the top 1%, or even the top 0.1%, but the friggin top .023%

ie you can round up 1000 athletes that fall into the top 1% of genetic freaks and only 23 of those in that group will be NFL worthy.
That’s still not enough food to hold a 240 physique so I doubt they’re training for 5 hours everyday

I played college sports too,we had days where we would go a long time,but not 5 everyday that’s cap

For a pro WR I can easily see the average day being 45min of weight room, 45 min cardio, 45 min of drill work (ladders, cones, etc), 1 hour plus of route running and one on ones and close out with 15-20 min of wind sprints or something. And that’s not touching the shyt Jerry Rice would do:

This is the shyt we did in high school. Our 2 a days started at 6am and we wouldn’t get home until early in the evening. You ain’t telling me pro athletes are doing less than that. I worked in the video department for a D1 school. The serious guys workout for way more than 3 hours that you’re claiming.

Fam this cap lol not Jerry Rice,HOF are wired different everyone else ain’t doing that,that’s the thing I was D1 myself and those football players wasn’t working out 6 hours during the off season they’d do about 3 hours then hoop with us for an hour lol and this wasn’t EVERYDAY my man stop the cap

Man these athletes are dumb.. does he want to stay healthy? He needs to eat better.. his body is his cash cow and he has the money for a chef and nutritionist.

Yeah, every weight training or fitness book covers this in the early pages.

Startled me to this day to hear people avoid basic knowledge and run with misinformed takes.

Lol. Aside from the candy DK Metcalfs diet is probably very strict. The other thing is NFL players metabolism are on overdrive. They have to eat crazy calories just to maintain their weight due to the cardio and constant weight lifting.
