I plan to watch it. I expect to see cats splashed in typical QT style. I'm expecting bad reviews which will make me want to see it even more.

i totally get the trope of white mentors and whatnot, but i also dont have a problem with a movie using a white mentor to explain how a chattle slave can become a gunsliger and bounty hunter in a short amount of time. it seems like a functional necessity, or at least plausability for the sake of the narrative. this is very different from the blindside which was based on a guy who really already knew how to play football before he met that white lady.

i just see the white mentor as a plot device in this particular case
