hydromatic rydes in traffic
flow for sale
time stand still

I was hype for the Dwele song but it was just aight to me. It's cool, but I thought it was going to be way better.

it’s better than B & O though :whoa:

Man, hell naw :hhh:

The first 5 songs on Balance & Options alone are miles, leaps and valleys and peaks better than anything on The Book of David.

I like BOD it captures the Hollywood vibe :wow: maybe I should listen to B&O and see if it captures the vibes of my area since in the late 90s he lived 10 mins from the house I’m in now

Balance & Options flows from start to finish; whole album is nice.

Album is great

He did a tribute for Roger and covered an Eazy classic

The more piano driven Quik's groove with G-One on bass and Warryn Campbell on piano

The outro :wow:

Listening to BlaQKout rn:ohhh:

Have you seen the other original album covers for it ?? They had them on they’re MySpace and the fans could choose the one they wanted , they obviously picked the one they have now

Yeah, i think so.

But honestly, my Quik album rotations these days is strictly Rhythm-al-ism, Safe + Sound and Balance & Options. That's it.

RAI and SS are honestly tied between being hes best albums :mjcry:

I love that jam session sound , you know what crazy ??? I only listened to Quiks albums because I had Dollars and Sense and I wanted the complete albums instead of just singles in my iPod :wow:

So I went on kazza and over the course of a year completed the album , songs all different quality’s and shyt:sadcam:

Didn’t learn till later he was similar to Dre and you needed the cd quality to fully embrace them:mjcry:

Quik is from the era where artists made albums

In the mid 2000's, shyt changed and in that era ut became singles driven

But he comes from an era when artists made albums with a complete sound with great sequencing, production and writing. Complete songs

Been playing it this morning it honestly kinda feels depressing :patrice:

i get what you mean...but to me, that's not a bad thing.

a reflection of his state of mind...gives it more depth given he was going through a lot of shyt.

the music was still :mindblown: colorful and crisp as ever :banderas:

i think of B&O as Rhythmalism's darker sequel, not a classic but a worthy continuation.

edit:

i read on dubcc credits (:francis:) that Quik played all the keys/synths on this album. If so, that nikka is more amazing than i gave him credit for :picard:

Can anyone confirm?
